Professor Reichman Receives Life Achievement Award

The Israeli Marketing Association granted the Life Achievement award in marketing to Prof. Uriel Reichman, President and founder of IDC Herzliya. The EFFIE Awards winner announcement ceremony took place on July 5th, 2016.

The Israeli Marketing Association Life Achievement award was awarded for the eighth time and is considered the most prestigious award of the association, representing the advertisers and marketers in Israel (previously known as “The Association of Advertisers”). Amongst the past award recipients: Bruno Landsberg, Michael Strauss, Dan Propper, Leon Koffler, Arik Reichman, Amos Shapira and the late Gazi Kaplan.

By granting the Life Achievement award, the Marketing Association wishes to express their extreme and long-standing appreciation towards Prof. Reichman who founded the IDC Herzliya in 1994.

Over the past two decades, IDC Herzliya has been a pioneer in many fields, introducing interdisciplinary, updated and innovative programs, recruiting the best researchers in various fields, taking steps in returning Israeli scholars to Israel, establishing IDC’s international stature, and proving diverse thinking and academic innovation, whilst having the student always in the center of the academic activity.

The Israeli Marketing Association stated: “We are proud to grant the prestigious Live Achievement award in marketing – to Prof. Reichman, a visionary and a dreamer, and show his life and exemplary management as a role model for others. The unique model of IDC Herzliya combines excellence in research and education, together with social responsibility and community involvement, making a significant contribution in training the future leadership of Israel.”

EFFIE is a worldwide and prestigious award with the most significant companies, worldwide and in the Israeli market, as contestants. The competition is held in more than 40 countries.
